Lab Overview

"I wanted to make an album with a collection of short unrelated songs. I wanted to steer away from electric guitar music which i felt like we’d explored pretty heavily on the last couple albums." Australian psych weirdos King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard ditched the electric guitars and went full on acoustic for Paper Mache Dream Balloon. It's a definite shift in the band's trademark face-melting sound, but don't get it twisted - these guys are still waaay out-there. Recorded in "various homes, sheds, garages, apartments, hotels and tunnels." New 2021 deluxe edition includes both the original album plus the full instrumentals version on the 2nd LP, with psychedelic lenticular cover and obi strip.
