Silky Brazilian boogie reissued on 45 for the first time! Cristina Camargo's "Moral Tem Hora" was the lead single from her eponynmous 1980 LP, produced by the reliable duo Robson Jorge and Lincoln Olivetti. The song was written by Marcos Valle and is an enduring slab of upbeat latin funk with delicate synth work, exquisite horns and Cristina's gorgeous contralto vocals with lyrics in Portuguese. Thanks to its inclusion in the Brazilian Disco Boogie Sounds comp assembled by Brazilian selector Junior Santos in 2014, the track is no longer a secret and is fiercely sought after by adventurous DJs. On the flip is a cut from Camargo's 2nd album Santa Maravilha, "Minas Do Rei Salomao," which is equally in demand (it was featured on Brazilian Disco Boogie Sounds Vol.2). Both tracks appear here for the first time on 45 since their original 80s releases courtesy of French label Disques Massagers, with artwork adapted from Camargo's self-titled debut LP. Recommended.
