Lab Overview

Debut studio album from Ecuador's Nicola Cruz. Prender El Alma was originally released in 2015 and introduced Cruz's take on electronic music, Andes Step. His work is organic, incorporating traditional Latin American instrumentation and rhythms into his digitally informed world. It's as if he is taking the Andean folkloric past into the future. Includes the songs: "La Cosecha," "Cumbia del Olvido," and "Colibria." Ten tracks in all. Released by ZZK Records on indie exclusive clear vinyl housed in a full color sleeve with a CD of the album.
