Lab Overview

Alone again, Naturally... Without A Sound is a relatively twangy, introspective, subdued record from Dinosaur Jr. Founding member and drummer Murph skedaddled, joining up with The Lemonheads (he returned in 2005), making this effectively another solo effort from J. Mascis. Mascis has said that the passing of his father was his primary inspiration in the creation of this album, surely its wild commercial success must have been a bittersweet joy. Features legit hits "Feel The Pain" and "I Don't Think So", also includes "Blah", which you may recall from a rerun of Melrose Place. Includes a selection of live bonus tracks and B-sides on the second disc. Deluxe gatefold packaging includes detailed liner notes.

  • yellow colored double vinyl pressing (please note: actual pressing color and packaging may differ from mock-up photo)
  • gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeve with in-depth liner notes from Mojo's Keith Cameron (based on recent and exclusive interviews with J. Mascis)
  • 2nd disc features (7) rarities + live versions
  • limited edition
  • music label: Cherry Red 2019
