Lab Overview

It might be hard to fathom that there is any more unreleased material from Lee Perry. His catalog runs deep, but Pressure Sounds has done the digging and unearthed this quality collection of tracks. Mr Perry I Presume is filled with rare and previously unreleased gems from various points in Perry's long career. The Gatherer's roots classic "Word Of Mouth" gets a stripped down treatment that is all vocals and slashing rhythm guitar. "Big Bird Skank" is a somewhat tongue in cheek take on The Upsetters' "Bathroom Skank" complete with dubbed out squeaky toy sounds. There are awesome dubs of The Wailers' "Sun Is Shining," Junior Murvin's "Police and Thieves," and Max Romeo's "Chase The Devil." It all makes you wonder what else Mr. Perry has stashed away in his Ark. Sixteen tracks in all. Released by Pressure Sounds on double vinyl.
