Lab Overview

"I haven't killed anybody since 1984." Written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott, True Romance is a true cult classic. The exchange between Christopher Walken & Dennis Hopper, aka the Sicilian Scene, where Don Vincenzo utters the aforementioned line, is a classic cinema moment hailed by many as one of the most memorable ("viens Mallika Sous Le dome Edais From Lakme" on here). And True Romance is full of other killer scenes, and accompanying the onscreen magic is great music, which is where this soundtrack comes in. Pressed on aqua-and-pink-splatter vinyl and limited to 2000 copies, the release not only conjures up images of the visceral flick, but immediately transports you back to the early '90s. From rockabilly (Chris Isaak, Charlie Sexton) and grunge to "love sick nods" (John Waite, Robert Palmer) and Hans Zimmer compositions, the diverse, quirky tracklist hits all the nostalgic notes, and it is a must for fans of the film.
