Classic New York club and breaker's anthem or corny Santana-wannabe/Freedom Rock reject? Barrabas' "Woman" has inspired both responses from me over the years, so I'll let you be the judge. I will mention that maestro Little Louie Vega picked this as one of his favorite jams of all time, and an original version of the mega-rare 12-inch recently sold for 2G's on the Bay. For those who are unsure it might tip the balances to hear the flip side's "Let's Get It Together", probably the most sought after Le Pamplemousse single (no I didn't forget about "Gimme What You Got"). The original of this suave hustle favorite was pressed at 45 so this 33RPM loud repress is most welcome.
