"What is it? The Buddha Machine is a small plastic box that plays meditative music composed by Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian. More than a decade ago the Beijing-based duo of Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian released their first 'Buddha Machine' loop box, a quirky pocket sound system that propelled sound art into the consumer mainstream. This 2023 reissue of the original Buddha Machine 1 offers improved audio fidelity and a louder speaker, along with a two-button control layout instead of a 3-in-1 switch." - FM3
