Debut EP from mysterious French techno duo Kartei on BK's WT Recs. These guys are bringing back the classic techno sound with the heavy arpeggio-driven grooves of "Lightgarten." The track features a driving beat and dizzying synths that already made it to some mixes by respected producer/dj Legowelt. But that's just the tip of the iceberg! The record continues with "Rocket To Earth," a track reminiscent of Throbbing Gristle's "Hot On The Heels," and the heavy underwater techno bump of "Transponder." Side B takes it deeper with Basic Channel style dub techno on "Dimension 11" and the beat-less ambient arpeggios of "Sisyphus." Another amazing release from WT!
