Record Store Day Exclusive. One of the earliest recorded works by electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani gets a special pressing for RSD from Finders Keepers! "Fish Music" is a previously unreleased modular synth soundscape produced for a mall aquarium installation project by a 17-year-old Ciani in 1977. Ciani has since become a pioneering voice in modular synthesis, and even in this early experiment in marine biology sound design, you can hear her talent shine. From Finders Keepers - "Owing much to the memory of genuine synthesiser maverick Don Buchla this conceptual release is very much the product of artistic America at its progressive halcyon but, with its illustrious and idiosyncratic composition, communicates subtle undertones of Suzanne’s feminine Italian origins which seldom reside outside of the efforts of Roman library composers like Casa, Tomassi, Raskovich and siblings Antonioni and Maria Teresa Luciani." Limited to 1,000 single-sided copies on clear vinyl. Includes a copy of the original press release.
