Numark's DJ In A Box package offers an excellent way for beginners to get a complete DJ setup for a very affordable price. The box comes with everything you need to get started - 2 turntables, a mixer, cartridges, headphones, and all necessary cables and accessories.

FEATURES
The DJ In A Box Package comes with 2 Numark TT1610 multi-directional efficient belt drive turntables with aluminum platters which include all the basic features necessary for djing and a belt-drive motor which is not recommended for scratching (go for the Numark Battle Pak if you want to start scratching on direct drive tables). The mixer included is the Numark DM950, which features 2 channels + mic input with EQ on each channel and slider style cuing. You also get the Numark HF125 flexible 7-position headphones, 2 Groove Tool cartridges, slipmats, and all necessary cables so you can start djing right out the box.

OUR OPINION
The DJ In A Box Package is perfect for the beginner that wants to start djing at a very affordable price. You get everything you need, but due to the nature of the belt-drive turntable - this set up is not recommended for those wanting to cut or scratch. Check out the Battle Pak for a package with direct drive decks.

Total Computer DJ in a Box w/ Traktor LE Software

OVERVIEW
Numark's Total Computer DJ in a Box is an affordable way to get started digital DJing. The kit gives you everything you need to DJ using your computer - a full featured scratch control surface ("Total Control") with a layout based on a DJ mixer, audio interface, pro headphones and Traktor 3 LE software.

FEATURES
Total Control is laid-out just like a DJ mixer or CD player, with scratch wheels, line faders, EQ knobs, and a crossfader, so it's easy to jump to any other DJ's system. 31 buttons, 20 knobs, and five faders give you power at the gig. And it's USB-powered, so you're not chained to a wall outlet.

Total Control uses MIDI so it's compatible with most DJ software, and it even comes with pre-mapped controls and an overlay to work directly with Traktor LE with no programming needed.

DJ|iO is a compact, rugged computer interface that gets audio into and out of your computer on an easy USB connection. It has a mic input, two sets of RCA outs, and a headphone jack to handle all of your audio system connections. CD-grade 24-bit, 44.1/88.2 kHz audio powered by ultra-low-latency ASIO drivers gives DJ|iO the high-quality sound you expect from Numark.

HF125s headphones feature seven-position adjustable earcups housing large 40mm mylar speaker drivers, a six-foot tangle-resistant cable, a padding on the headband and earcups.

DJ Lab 2.1 Turntables + Mixer Package

Stanton's newly updated DJ Lab 2.1 package offers an extremely affordable all-inclusive solution for beginning djs. It comes with everything you will need to get started djing:

- 2x T.62 Turntables w/ slip mats and dust covers
- 2x 500B Cartridges mounted on headshells
- 1x M.212 Mixer
- 1x DJ PRO 90 Headphones
- All cables

The DJ Lab 2.1 comes with Stanton's T.62 turntables, which include all the basic features necessary for djing and a reasonably high torque direct-drive motor which is passable for scratching. The M.212 mixer is a basic 2 channel mixer with enough features to satisfy beginning djs and even a 3 band EQ. There is also a mic input with 2 band eq. The T.62 also comes with Stanton cartridges, pre-mounted on Stanton headshells for easy setup, plus slipmats and dustcovers.
