Lab Overview

Debut studio album from Argentina's Lagartijeando. El Gran Poder finds Lagartijeando (Mati Zundel) exploring traditional Argentinean rhythms and sounds, placing them in a more contemporary context. The charango, an Andean string instrument, and airy pan flute sounds are combined with electronic beats to create an intoxicating environment. Zundel combines rootsy cumbia rhythms with hip hop and house elements as he reflects on his travels through his lyrics. El Gran Poder is a fusion of musics in the best of ways, something that will definitely get you moving in new ways. Ten tracks in all. Released by Wonderwheel Recordings.
