Gymnopedies / Gnossiennes pretty much launched the "Satie boom" upon its release thanks to Ciccolini's brilliant playing. "Whether enigmatically serene, irresistibly charming or anarchically witty, the maverick French composer's miniature pieces remain astonishingly original.
