2013 vinyl repress! This is French pop from a completely different side of the 60s. Forget about Gainsbourg for a minute (even though he's the reigning bad ass of French pop). Wizzz! is focused on the freaks who flew under the radar during his prime. Born Bad Records has wasted no effort in putting this second installment of their lauded series together. Their collection of rare and unreleased tracks, unearthed from the obscure depths of made-in-France pop, is a testament to the counter-cultural spirit that was bubbling beneath the surface at the time. There's no shortage of danceable rhythms, twisted sounds and deranged lyrics (if you can understand them). This is not your standard 60s pop by any means.
