Candi Staton is responsible for some of the most timeless soul records.This release collects 4 remixes for one of her beloved, gospel-inspired tracks, "Hallelujah Anyway," and each version respectfully touches up the soulful original for the dancefloor. Check out Larse's deep house excursion, with the moody production providing a nice contrast to the uplifting vocals. Dr Packer's take on the song is characterized by memorable piano work, and Italian producer Moplen goes for a '90s house vibe. Rounding out the 12" is Frankie Knuckles' remix, available on vinyl for the first time. FK breathes in fresh energy to the classic, utilizing infectious chords and uptempo grooves for guaranteed jubilation.
