  • Sought-after Chicago acid repressed! Dance Tracs by Disco D (aka Larry Heard) is an early example of the raw, stripped down acid sound that would soon take over the Chicago scene and later influence all of electronic dance music (even to this day). Heard's signature drum programming can be all over this piece and tracks like "123, 122" and "121" pretty much lay the blueprint down for 'jackin' house. These beats we totally ahead of their time and still bang to this day. "Beat It" and "High Noon" take the flipside and add lush chords and driving synth melodies to the mix, sounding very much like classic Mr. Fingers tracks of the time (think "Washing Machine" or "Can You Feel It"). Original 1986 copies are hard to come by (and cost a small fortune), so get with this quality import repress while it lasts! Recommended.
