  • Debut release from DJ Apres Ski on the always inspiring Major Problems. The eponymous release features four tracks of languid and atmospheric house which seem rather accomplished for an initial offering. The title track is all upfront kicks before the Emu loon leads us into a soothing land of chord memory pads and conga rhythms. Things keep moving with the electro inspired sounds of "Safety Area." Richer textures creep in as the track slowly unfolds and lifts you away. The B side offers up two takes on the mellow nostalgia of "Aquapump Softliner," one slow and succinct and the other only slightly more clubby. This is material that is perfectly inline with the house sounds coming out of Vancouver and Australia. If you're into labels like 1080p and Mood Hut then we recommend you take DJ Apres Ski for a run.
