When this hit the office turntable, nearly everyone turned their heads. Some 90s house 12" that Snack brought in? Motor City Drum Ensemble? Nope, Eddie C. Yeah, Eddie has mastered style flips and has that instant appeal of MCDE. This is the lead single from Eddie's excellent album Country City Country (these two cuts are not on the full length vinyl, only the CD version). "La Palatte" is the instant banger, reminiscent of early filtered house of Daft Punk. "It Goes Free" with its loose percussion takes you further back to grungy 80s Soho loft parties. Recommended.
