  • Sophomore album from Fripp & Eno. Evening Star was originally released in 1975 and once again found Brian Eno collaborating with Robert Fripp on a series of ambient experiments. This one is slightly different from their 1973 debut (No Pussyfooting) in that the first side consists of shorter ambient tape-looped textures (including "Wind On Wind," an excerpt from Eno's Discreet Music), while side 2 delves back into the long format with the 28 minute drone epic "An Index Of Metals." The perfect soundtrack to decompress after a long day on the job or cooking in your underpants. 2014 repress on super heavyweight 200 gram vinyl with original cover art featuring a gorgeous painting by Peter Schmidt. Recommended.

    • remastered sound
    • gatefold sleeve
    • music label: Island 1975 / Discipline Global Mobile 2014
