Sixth Blue Note album from Herbie. Originally released in 1968, Speak Like A Child found Hancock expanding on ideas found in Maiden Voyage with simple, singable melodies being the focus. Check the lovely sounds on the title track "Speak Like A Child," "The Sorcerer," and "Riot." Regarding the album's title - Hancock says he wanted to rediscover childhood qualities "we lose and wish we could have back - purity, spontaneity. When they do return to us, we're at our best." 6 tracks with gatefold sleeve.
