  • Third compilation of original drum breaks from J-Zone. Guerrilla Drums follows 2015's well received (and heavily sampled) Backyard Breaks and is easily the most refined release to date from the late-blooming drummer/MC. Not only is this release twice the size (double 45 baby), it also comes following a two year break from releases in which J-Zone played, studied, and talked drums with some of the greatest that ever did it. Not only did J-Zone develop his own funk bands (Du-Rites and Zone Identity), he also played drums with legendary funk outfit Manzel, and laid down grooves for Danger Mouse, Alchemist, Prince Paul, and more. Obviously a ton of prime material to sample, chop, and throw in the MPC (or Ableton), but if you do use it for your tracks take J-Zone's advice -  "Go 'head and use the drums, just give me credit. But if you use 'em for big, six-figure sync job, do the right thing." Recommended.

    • double 7" pressing
