Brooklyn-based producer/DJ & Razor-N-Tape labelhead JKriv has been a "longtime lover of Brazilian sounds," and for 2018, he selects 8 of his favs. Ferias '77 Reworks consists of a wide range of styles & flavors of the Verde-Amarela: "from the upfront boogie of "Relexa," to the stomping "Babaluae," the tropical funk of "Rainha do Mar," the downtempo swa of "Era Um Era," to the almost balearic-leaning "Doto" ("Babaluae" is an edit of Bebeto's Princesa Negra De Angola." This is an excellent comp filled with gems, and JKriv touches up the originals just right to make the tracks even more potent for the dancefloor. Also check out "Nao Excuta," which is an edit of Zeca Do Trombone & Roberto Sax's "Coluna Do Meio," "Nada De Sol," which is an edit of Sivuca's "Ain't No Sunshine."
