Grant Eadie AKA Manatee Commune’s self-titled LP continues from the shimmery impression left by his EP, Thistle, released earlier in the year. The lush textures and a playful approach to drum programming and synth/melody work are perfectly complemented by the whispery vocals (sometimes passed through various filters), and the Pacific Northwest artist’s knack for “organically molded electronic sound” is elevated yet very approachable. Check out “Be Still,” “What We’ve Got,” “The Garden Song,” “Clementine,” and the bubbly “Inman.”
