  • The mysterious MDEC collective kicks off the launch of Dnaut Music with Riz Jungle. Music Dance Every Chance traffic in a variety of forms, but house music is at the collective's core. Their sound merges electronics with live instrumentation in places while diving deeper in others. "Riz Jungle" has an old school Chicago sound with dubby chords riding atop some seriously heavy drums. The whispered vocals of "Hero" add an element of darkness to the track's ferocious groove. The two vocal cuts that close out the EP really speak to the diversity of MDEC. While they maintain similar characteristics to the preceding tracks the vocalists open up the collective's sonic possibilities. Hayley Blackman takes "Desire" in a slightly disco influenced direction without going over the top. "Glisten" features Theo Parrish collaborator Billy Love who adds a heavy dose of soul to an otherwise deep and expansive track. We're looking forward to more from MDEC and Dnaut.
