Detroit techno pioneer Juan Atkins (under the Model 500 alias) had so much great output in the 80's that some of his 90's joints often slip through the cracks. Case in point with The Passage, an often-overlooked gem that gets some shine with this fresh 2014 reissue and remaster. Originally released in '92 on the Belgian Apollo imprint, this 12" found Atkins flexing atmospheric breaks ("The Passage"), heavy techno beats ("Vessel In Distress") and even vocals("Mind Changes"). Top quality import reissue on the original label.
