A veteran DJ and producer, Pablo Valentino drops his first solo record in almost four years. The Creative Swing Alliance member and Motor City Drum Ensemble co-founder starts the EP off with the title track, which takes a deep, mellow, and jazz-influenced approach to house; the loose, shuffling rhythms, in addition to Rhodes textures, are sure to liven up dancefloors. GE-OLOGY's "Teach the Babies" Remix is all about the Detroit touch, and the BK-based producer manages to turns in a slightly more energetic, percussive version while retaining the core warmth of the tune. "Atlantic's Calling (One for Portugal)" is also a quality number that should inject the perfect amount of uplift for late-night situations, and rounding out the EP is "Good Ol' Days," an instrumental hip-hop head nodder.
