  • Rare EP of Hip Hop flavored Deep House reissued! Originally released in 1995, The Raw Shit EP from pioneering DJ / Producer Pal Joey gave us five cuts of just that... some raw ish. Just like Todd Terry and Masters At Work, amongst a few others, Joey Longo captured the sound of New York at its core. With the long lineage of Disco DJs moving into House and Hip Hop as the time came it only makes sense these influences come through in the lates 80s and early 90s scene. Having worked on Boogie Down Production albums and released a slew of original masterpieces (I can't think of one bad Pal Joey record) including Hot Music that saw a huge revival with the advent of Serato, the soul involved in PJ's production is simply undeniable. Remastered audio on hefty vinyl. Recommended.
