It seems Will "Quantic" Holland can do pretty much any musical style he puts his mind to, and do it incredibly well. After exploring the sounds of the globe - from cumbia & bossanova, to african music, downtempo and electronica - Quantic returns as The Western Transient to pay homage to the studio jazz ensemble. A New Constellation finds Mr. Holland bringing together a handpicked group of musicians to deliver a timeless sound, informed by classic jazz and soul albums of the past. The sound is so authentic and vibrant, it's almost hard to believe this is a contemporary release. Just chalk it up to Quantic's chameleonic genius- like I said, dude can do anything! Comes in a deluxe handmade, hardback gatefold sleeve with bound booklet featuring a series of photos from B+. Download card included. Recommended.
