Two Italian library rarities on 45 from the Galaxy Sound-adjacent Reference Library 45 Series. On the A side is Quintetto Santucci-Scoppa’s “Mediterraneo,” a standout from the impossibly rare 1971 LP Looking Around, swirling with smokey double bass, hard hitting drums, dreamy vibes and hypnotic trumpet. Pasquale Castiglione’s “Chase” on side B is all business: heavy, heavy funk in signature Italian soundtrack style, taken from the 1975 Clouds LP. Bellissimo!
