Lab Overview

Long awaited debut album from Rostam Batmanglij. Chances are you know Rostam's music even if the name sounds unfamiliar. The first generation Iranian-American producer is the musical leader behind Vampire Weekend, as well as a behind-the-scenes secret weapon breaking down borders and blurring genres for the likes of Frank Ocean, Solange, Charli XCX, and others. On Half-Light, Rostam goes solo for the first time in his 10+ years of producing music. Though we've become accustomed to his unique brand of indie pop through other projects, this will also be the first time Rostam's voice takes center stage as well. It's a striking, yet welcome difference, that perfectly matches the man'slush and intimate production. Includes "Bike Dream," "Wood," "EOS," "Sumer," "Hold You," with Angel Deradoorian, "Half-Light" with Kelly Zutrau, and more. 19 tracks in all on double vinyl with fold-out poster insert.
