  • Black Friday Record Store Day 2013 Exclusive! Originally released in 2010, Twistable, Turnable Man: A Musical Tribute to the Songs of Shel Silverstein celebrates his often overlooked contributions to country music. The poet, who is best known for writing some of the most beloved children's books of all time (Where the Sidewalk Ends, The Missing Piece, A Light in the Attic, The Giving Tree), wrote a variety of songs, as well. Some of them were for children, of course, but he also wrote songs made famous by the likes of Loretta Lynn ("One's On the Way"), Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show ("The Cover of 'Rolling Stone'"), and Johnny Cash, who famously recorded both "25 Minutes to Go" and "A Boy Named Sue." Twistable, Turnable Man provides us with new takes from contemporary artists of this classic material.

    • first time on vinyl
    • 45 rpm white double vinyl pressing
    • limited to 1500 copies
    • music label: Sugar Hill Records 2013
