  • Only album from Seattle based grunge band Temple Of The Dog. The band's eponymous album was recorded in the wake of the death of Andrew Wood. Wood had been the vocalist for Mother Love Bone and roommate of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell. Cornell conceived the group as a tribute to Wood, tapping former Mother Love Bone members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament, as well as future Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready and Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron to record songs he had written while on tour. Eddie Vedder appears on the album as well, having come from San Diego to audition for the band that would become Pearl Jam. Released in 1991, the album would not receive wide acclaim until the success of Pearl Jam's Ten and Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger convinced the label to give it a stronger promotional push. Ten tracks in all. Released by A&M Records on 180 gram double vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve.

    • 180g black double vinyl pressing
    • custom etching on side D
    • housed in gatefold sleeve w/ printed insert
    • original release year: 1991
    • music label: A&M Records 2016
