  • Debut long player from mysterious NYC collective on Golf Channel! The cult label hasn't provided very much info on who the Central Executives are exactly, but one thing is certain - these guys got chops! From underground disco, post-punk-funk, to overdriven, lo-fi house, the Central Executives got it on lock. It's an impressive range of styles for sure, and the delivery is so authentic, you might think it was a record from the early to mid-eighties. Don't believe me? Check the discordant Arthur Russell vibes on "High Roads," and "Loveray 79," or the loose booty grooves of "Walk In The Dark." There's also some eclectic 99 or ZE Records moments on "Dance Dance Dance," while "Shut Ya Face" and "I Wanna" ups the house energy to move the floor. 10 tracks on double vinyl, pic sleeve. Recommended.
