Visionquest's Fall Winter Collection 2011 delivers more expertly curated jams to keep the dancefloor warm during the colder seasons. As with the Spring Summer Collection, expect tasteful dance tracks that avoid easy genre-fication from artists you probably haven't heard of (till now). This volume kicks off with David K's remarkable "Ghost Train," a track that is equally emotive as it is driving. Love the way the post punk-ish vocals work with that punchy beat! In a similar vein is My Favourite Robot's "Forest Fires," another track that incorporates moody vocals with an equally deep arrangement, while Mirko Loko's "Gloria" brightens the mood with hopeful synths melodies and lush atmospherics on a pulsing electro beat that spans over 13 minutes. Recommended.
