  • This is one of those holy grail dub albums that collectors have simply give up looking for. Produced by none other than Sonia Pottinger, High Note label boss, pioneering female record producer and one of reggae’s unsung heroes. Mixing duties are handled by Errol Brown, nephew of Duke Reid and Treasure Isle’s in-house engineer. Dub Expression is as heavy as any Channel One session of the era, with Sly, Robbie and Errol taking on the heavy rock riddim (“Down Town Ting”), John Holt’s “Up Park Camp” (“Gun Court Dub”), Dennis Brown’s “Ghetto Girl” (“Ghetto Dub”) and more. It’s deadly stuff, if the bright orange sleeve and flying 3D type didn’t tip you off. Recommended.

    • black vinyl pressing
    • includes printed liner note insert
    • original release year: 1978
    • music label: Antarctica Starts Here 2025
