TV Girl had, up to this point, stayed within a dreamy, subdued, synth driven sound. 2023 brought us something different and exciting. Grapes Upon The Vine felt like a real pivot for the San Diego indie band--swapping synths for pure piano & finding the sweet spot at a higher BPM seemingly inspired by the sounds of gospel. GUTV is a departure in many ways from the classic 'TV Girl' sound, but it never feels forced or disingenuous and has seemingly led us to his most recent collab with George Clanton. Includes the songs: "99.5," "Shame" and "I'll Be Faithful." 12 tracks in all. Released by TV Girl on black vinyl with a printed insert.
