  • Deluxe remastered edition of Siouxsie And The Banshee’s fan-favorite seventh album. Tinderbox is one of the more polished and immaculately-produced entries in The Banshees’ catalog, having been rehearsed by the band for months before even stepping foot in the recording studio. By the time they buckled down to record at Hansa Tonstudio in Kreuzberg, they had the songs down pat and were able to focus on utilizing the studio’s facilities to their full potential. As such, Tinderbox is very much a 1986 record, a departure from the raw, guitar-heavy sound of their previous efforts, making good use of the Yamaha DX-7 and digital delay with a squeaky-clean mixdown. “Candyman” and “Cities In Dust” were released as singles, but it’s the album cuts that really shine: “The Sweetest Chill,” “This Unrest,” “92°,” “Land’s End” and “Party’s Fall.” On vinyl for the first time since 1986, this official reissue has been remastered from the original quarter-inch tapes and cut at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios, and is pressed on 180g vinyl housed in replica pic sleeve with printed inner sleeve.

    • 180g black vinyl pressing
    • remastered from the original 1/4" master tapes
    • cut at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios
    • printed inner sleeve
    • original release year: 1986
    • music label: Polydor 2018
