Third studio album from Washington, D.C.'s Bad Brains. I Against I was originally released by Greg Ginn's SST Records in November of 1986 and is considered by many to be the pinnacle of the band's output. Largely considered a hardcore punk outfit, Bad Brains drew influence from funk, soul, reggae and heavy metal while writing the songs for the album. Dr. Know's virtuous guitar playing adds an otherworldly element while singer H.R. explores everything possible with his voice. As a whole, the band is incredibly tight and funky, their music full of sonic textures. Includes the songs: "I Against I," "House of Suffering," "Re-Ignition," and "Sacred Love." Ten tracks in all.
