Ghostly and C418 have finally teamed up for this physical release of Minecraft Volume Beta, the second installment of C418 aka Daniel Rosenfeld’s music from the game, following the vinyl release of Volume Alpha. Beta is a slightly moodier and more austere affair, as evidenced by the diabolic cover graphics. Far from child’s play, at times resembling Eno, Ben Frost and Vladislav Delay; we’re confident when we say this is serious music that no lover of avantgarde, ambient or electroacoustic music should ignore.
