The label heads hated Kick, but after some gutsy moves from INXS's manager at the time, the 6th album from the Aussies would be released in 1987 and the rest is history—4 singles in the U.S. top 10, and certified 6-times platinum. "Need You Tonight," "Never Tear Us Apart," "New Sensation," and "Devil Inside" are the obvious big guns, but Kick in its entirety is just a well crafted project, with super catchy hooks and a very danceable mixture of alt rock, pop, and new wave. One of the most popular albums from the '80s; Atlantic 75 edition pressed on crystal clear vinyl.
