  • Two brothers move to a beach town in California and start fighting a gang of young vampires… The Lost Boys, directed by Joel Schumacher, delightfully mixed horror with comedy and presented a visually striking film that has developed a cult following. The movie itself took a lot of cues from music videos of the time—costumes, hairstyles, attitude etc.—and the soundtrack perfectly captures the '80s aesthetic in addition to adding a layer of emotion to the plot of the movie. Gerard McMann's "Cry Little Sister" is the theme, and INXS and Jimmy Barnes cover "Good Times" by The Easybeats is one of the highlights. Also, Roger Daltrey does Elton John's "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me," and Echo & the Bunnymen do their take of The Doors' "People Are Strange." Limited edition 180 gram reissue on red vinyl.

    • 180g red colored vinyl

    • original release year: 1987
