  • Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal. In 2016, after a long legal/personal dispute, DJ Premier and DJ Solar came to a settlement which resulted in the Gang Starr producer acquiring 30 unreleased recordings of Guru. According to Premier, "some of them had two verses, some of them had a verse, some of them just had a hook and then faded." He went to work right away, and soon came forth with this final record from the iconic duo. J. Cole, Royce d 5'9", Talib Kweli, M.O.P. and Q-Tip make guest appearances with Primo handling the production, and although Guru's absence is felt, the record picks up right where Gang Starr left of with The Ownerz in 2003. Check out "Family and Loyalty," "Hit Man," Bless the Mic," and "Business or art." Long live Gang Starr!
