Throbbing Gristle's Greatest Hits collects some of the most essential material from the industrial pioneers, highlighting their more accessible (though still very experimental) sounds. They combine the industrial aesthetic of their earlier works with industrial dance and synthpop sounds that would later be explored by band members Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti. This collection serves as one of the best ways to get introduced to the group. It's filled with some of the brighter moments from D.O.A. and 20 Jazz Funk Greats along with material from 7" singles and earlier albums. Standouts include the minimalistic synth pop of "United" and "Adrenalin." Limited edition transparent orange pressing with large format 8 page color booklet featuring tons of TG archive material including previously unpublished photos. Recommended.
