TTL Setup: Audio-Technica AT-LP120X / Spinbase 2


Congratulations on your new TTL Setup! Here are detailed instructions on how to completely set up your Audio-Technica AT-LP120X / Spinbase 2 Package

1.0 SET UP YOUR SPINBASE 2

Unpack your Spinbase. Don't plug it in yet, you're going to need the access the back of the unit.

2.0 SET UP YOUR AT-LP120X TURNTABLE

Please refer to this quick video to get your AT-LP120X turntable set up. 

2.1 CONNECT YOUR TURNTABLE TO THE SPINBASE

  • Use the RCA cable that came with the turntable, plug it into the back of the turntable.
  • Attach the groundwire (the one with U-shaped ends) into the silver post and tighten the screw-down clamp.
  • IMPORTANT: make sure the switch is in the PHONO position, this turns OFF the turntable's preamp. You'll be using the Spinbase' preamp.
  • Attach the other end of the RCA / groundwire to the Spinbase.

3.0 PLUG IN POWER CABLES

  • Locate the turntable power supply (this may be tucked away in a small white box), and plug into your turntable. Plug in your Spinbase.
  • Now move your setup to its final position.

3.1 TURN ON YOUR SPINBASE

  • Press the large knob to power on the Spinbase.
  • Press the knob until it you see "Ph" (stands for "PHONO", and activates the Spinbase's preamp).
  • Tip: to turn off the Spinbase, press the knob for 3 seconds. You can also use the remote for these functions.

3.2 PLAY A RECORD!

  • Place the turntable on the record.
  • Take off the stylus guard on the cartridge.
  • Hit the play button and place the needle on the groove.
  • You shoud hear output. If you don't, make sure the volume is turned up and the Spinbase is set to "Ph".
  • If the volume remains low / distorted make sure the switch on the back of the turntable is set to "PHONO" and the groundwire is connected on both sides.

4.0 UPGRADES (SOLD SEPARATELY)
