  • 2015 repress on 180 gram vinyl. Seriously out-there free jazz vibes from the Albert Ayler Trio. Recorded on July 10, 1964, Spiritual Unity is the album that made Albert Ayler famous (or infamous, depending how you look at it). This is some advanced listening material, over the top for the average listener, but open your mind to it and this is some seriously heavy shit. Listen to the way Ayler playing the saxophone you can tell he's not holding back, he's giving it 110%, exorcising demons, and unleashing his raw soul. That right there is pretty much mind-blowing! Bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Sunny Murray follow suit aiding in transcendent experience.
