However, the intricacies and playfulness that has been a part of Cornelius' music is still there. His penchant for melody and orchestration comes through effortlessly. The songs range from loungey numbers to cloudy pop and more lush moments. Mellow Waves is welcome return from one of Japanese pop's most unique voices. Ten tracks in all. Released by Rostrum Records on white with black splatter vinyl housed in a gatefold jacket with pop up artwork and a phenakistoscope animation disc.
