  • Originally released in 1983, Let's Dance is David Bowie's 15th studio album. Co-produced by Nile Rodgers of Chic, the 8-tracker contains some of the biggest tunes from Bowie: "Modern Love," "China Girl," and "Let's Dance." The late icon's works from the '70s is credited with bringing glam & sophistication to rock music, and with Let's Dance, Bowie expands onto the pop sphere and challenges the status quo with a "new kind of hybrid" sound, "using blues-rock guitar against a dance format," as heard in "Let's Dance," for example. Also apparent is the r&b influence that Rodgers adds, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, then an up-and-coming blues guitarist from Texas, also plays on the album (guitar solo on "Let's Dance). Other highlights include "Without You" and "Shake It."

    • remastered and pressed on 180g vinyl
    • includes printed inner sleeve w/ lyrics and credits
    • music label: Parlophone 1983 / 2019
