  • Willie Burns and Entro Senestre's Daywalker + CF project seems set on exploring the outer reaches of techno. Their initial effort for Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S. imprint offered up four cavernous and spaced-out tracks. The title track on their followup is more tuned towards the dancefloor with a punishing kick that is set upon by an incessant synth line that shows no sign of letting up. It's effective in its ability to lift you out of your current surroundings into an alternate plane. The B side follows a more krautrock inspired vision with a touch of armchair astronomy. "Bulldog Named Carl" floats by on a synth pad and underwater bassline vibe before some nuggets of wisdom are dropped by everyone's favorite weed toking cosmologist. The closing track gently folds in on itself as you come down from the high of the A side.
