  • You already know the deal. The Do-Over - aka the funkiest Sunday party on the West Coast - drops the second volume in its 10-inch record series featuring three of Southern California's finest. The world famous Beat Junkies representative DJ Rhettmatic flaunts his niceness on the MPC in "Do It," a hard-hitting beat built on crisp drums and a thumping bassline, with Stone Throw's MED laying out a vivid picture of what it's like to be in attendance at the laid-back, music-bbq-sangria-fueled event ("club packed like Shaq in a Scion truck"). On the flip, Free The Robots delivers "La Lune," a new school beats tune that's heavily laced with melodic synths. Volume 2 also delivers on the packaging/cover art tip featuring a special diamond diecut outer sleeve, which exposes the contrasting inner sleeve courtesy of Kristian Henson (Studio No. 1). Marble blue vinyl, recommended.
