Lab Overview

In 1994, Pacific Northwest indie imprint Slo-Mo Records enlisted Elliott Smith (then of Heatmiser) and Pete Krebs (then of Hazel) to do a split 7.” The Portland-based singer-songwriters / guitarists recorded beautiful, stripped-down acoustic tunes, and Suicide Squeeze Records, a Seattle label, brings back the lost classic to celebrate its 20th anniversary. “No Confidence Man” is a whispery number full of imagery, and “Shytown” a guitar-driven tune with “somber passages and bouffant melodies,” which Krebs would go on to be known for. The record is a very limited edition of 500 (in orange vinyl), and it features new artwork and comes w/ a download coupon.
